Kathak
Where rhythm meets storytelling, and where a software engineer puts on ghungroos and becomes someone else entirely. (Or maybe the same person, just louder.)
The Art
// the original storytelling frameworkKathak is one of the eight major forms of Indian classical dance. Originating from Northern India, it combines intricate footwork, expressive storytelling, and rhythmic precision. The word "Kathak" comes from "katha" — meaning story. Every performance is a conversation between rhythm, emotion, and narrative.
Trained under renowned gurus in the Lucknow gharana tradition, I've been practicing Kathak for over 15 years. The discipline of daily riyaaz (practice) mirrors the discipline of writing clean code — both demand patience, precision, and an obsessive attention to detail. Also, both make you lose track of time completely.
